Check In @ The Hilton

When we finally arrive at the hotel, we’re exhausted but still hear the ocean calling our names! So we drop our bags with the bellhop, throw on our suits, and make a break for the beach! The water is warm and the sun is hot, making a nap in the sand sound all too enticing. Little do we know the UV is 11… Can you guess where this is going?

Welcome To Sunburn City! Where Our Hair Is Red And Our Legs Are Purple!

I hear they’re calling it an 8th degree burn; one of the worst they’ve ever seen. But alas, the Tahitian gods give their toughest battles to their strongest, most fair skinned soldiers. And thanks to the gift shop, I was soon armed with SPF 50 for the rest of the week. Nothing a little aloe and a whole lot of lotion can’t fix!

We still spent Day One exploring the hotel, meeting the resort kitties, and befriending French waiters who would keep the Piña Coladas coming!

We found the fastest shortcuts to the pool, prepared for about a million incoming trips to the water stations, and started thinking about what excursions we wanted to do!

We took advantage of the Kayaks and Paddle Boards in no time, and found our favorite cabanas by the water!

First Official Dinner Of The Trip!

The crepes were mediocre, but the view was incredible!
